Customer Service Coordinator


Job Purpose

Purpose of the job is to provide high quality front-line customer support for all non-sales issues, delivering service in line with MOL performance standards and operating procedures. Focus on "right first time" arrangement of deliveries/collections, invoicing and customer problem solving, collaborating with internal departments as required.

Job duties
CS Processes & Quality
Execute all operational customer support activities, in line with MOL procedures, quality standards and timescales. Resolve outstanding issues or concerns to optimize operational process flows and customer satisfaction.

CS Communication & Coordination
Liaise efficiently and courteously communicate with respective appropriate internal business interfaces, such as the Central Support Unit in Poland, MOLIPS, Process Administration and overseas offices, to ensure all booking processes are working smoothly and with utmost accuracy at all times and within given time scales.

Customer Account Management
Pro-actively communicate with customers to understand customer needs and respective business to build and actively manage an on-going customer relationship. Act and communicate in close cooperation with Sales and jointly own the customer relationship.

Commercial Optimization
Ensure cost and commercial awareness whilst dealing with the customer on all occasions: Pro-actively follow up on non-bookings, suggest emergency actions and use each and every opportunity for generating sales and therewith actively enhance profit margins.


Nature of activities

• Handle release of import containers to customers in a timely, efficient and courteous manner
• Ensure that B/Ls are collected prior to release
• Organise Carrier Haulage as required
• Negotiate with customers to provide alternatives, agreeing adjustments to charges as appropriate

Position Qualifications / Experience
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor qualification and 2-4 years of relevant professional shipping.

Knowledge / Skills
• Capable and confident in taking decisions
• Strong communicator with influencing skills
• Dutch native speaker / good knowledge of English
• Comfortable with IT systems
