Logistics Co-ordinator
Hyundai Merchant Marine (Netherlands) B.V. situated in Rotterdam, the Netherlands acting on behalf of our European Headquarters in London UK currently has a vacancy available at its Logistics Department for an experienced Logistics Manager / Co-ordinator. We are looking for a committed, representative candidate with a passion for the business , flexible, immune to stress and perfectly able to perform in a team.

Purpose of the job
Working within the Logistics department, with responsibility for the planning and processing of import and export container movements on a day to day basis by truck, rail, barge and feeder in a timely and cost effective manner.

Function requirements
For this function we are looking for a candidate with a general knowledge of the shipping industry.
Knowledge of container transport is advantageous
Good customer service skills
Able to work on own initiative
Knowledge of locations/areas within Europe
Good knowledge of Dutch and English (both verbal and written)
Knowledge of the various Microsoft Applications and ability to work with in-house systems

Main job responsibilities
Dealing with day to day work enquiries from colleagues within Europe relating to transport services
Processing of delivery / collection orders via in-house systems
Regular telephone / e-mail contact with transport vendors
Assisting with cost audit and control of invoices for transport services
Recording non-conformance issue on in-house systems
Ensuring daily check list items are completed
Timely administration of tariff maintenance and rate inputs
Identifying and suggesting improvements to in-house transport systems
Responding to requests for rates from various departments within the company
Providing back-up in the absence of other team members

Using appropriate language for different situations. Listening attentively and referring back to clarify understanding. Good level if attention to detail

Salary and secondary conditions
We offer a competitive salary proper Secondary Conditions amongst which a fixed 13th month , a Pension plan and WIA insurance fully covered by the employer.
