S5, based in Rotterdam, is looking for an:

HR Manager

Role description:

Within this role you will advise the management of all S5 offices in Europe. You are responsible for the (co-)development and implementation of HR tools and you are capable to further professionalise the organisation. The role is both strategic (you will be part of the Management Team) as well as tactical and operational.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Managing the employee lifecycle;
  • Recruitment and selection;
  • Training and development;
  • Talent management and retention;
  • Acting as a sounding board for employees and managers;
  • Supervising the annual mid year reviews and appraisals;
  • Development and implementation of HR tools and policies;
  • Responsible for illness policy;
  • (Co-) responsible for control and management of staff administration;
  • Managing the company car fleet;
  • Supporting the management team internationally.


The HR & Office department is based in Rotterdam and supports all offices in The Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Norway and the United Kingdom. The European team consists of a Payroll & Administration Assistant, an Office Assistant and a Receptionist.

  • A bachelor degree in Human Resource Management;
  • Around 10 years relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in an international environment;
  • Fluent in both the Dutch and English language (written and spoken);
  • Proven track record of successful projects within the HR field.
